IdeaTek Launches “Season of Giving” Campaign to Support Ronald McDonald House Charities Wichita
BUHLER, Kan. — This holiday season, IdeaTek is spreading Internet Freedom — and goodwill — across South Central Kansas. From Nov. 18 through Dec. 10, the company will donate $10 to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Wichita for every new install scheduled in Wichita and other south-central Kansas communities.
The campaign, part of IdeaTek’s continuing commitment to its home state, aims to support families who turn to RMHC Wichita for comfort and care while their children receive medical treatment. IdeaTek has been a longtime supporter of RMHC — a cause that has a personal meaning for many of the company’s employees, including IdeaTek Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer Daniel Friesen.
“Our daughter had a pulmonary embolism right after birth,” Friesen said. “It was very stressful, and the option to stay close was a needed stress reliever at the time — and a real blessing. This program is a powerful resource for parents during a very emotional time. I’m blown away by how many of our IdeaTek team have also been blessed by Ronald McDonald House Charities.
“We’re proud to give back to a cause that keeps families close,” Friesen added.
Every dollar helps, said Mark Diller, development director at RMHC Wichita.

- $25 a Month — Provides dinner for a family
- $100 a Month — Provides a night’s stay for a family
- $150 a Month — Provides a night’s stay & food for a family
“Every donation makes a difference — it means parents get to sleep close to their child in the hospital, often miles from home,” said Diller. “Thanks to partners like IdeaTek, we can continue to provide a warm, safe place for families when they need it most.”
RMHC Wichita provides lodging, meals and supportive community programs for families who travel for pediatric care, keeping them together and nearby during difficult times.
In addition to this seasonal campaign, IdeaTek remains strongly invested in the communities it serves.
