Q: How will IdeaTek’s internet speeds compare with my previous service?
IdeaTek’s AirLight fixed-wireless broadband is faster than any wireless service you’ve had before. This is due to our advanced technology and infrastructure, including fiber-fed towers and cutting-edge equipment. Our wireless service provides speeds of up to 150 Mbps.

Q: Can I enroll in a higher-speed package?
We're excited to offer higher-tier packages soon. We'll ensure that your current internet equipment is upgraded before rolling out new options and will be contacting you to schedule any necessary equipment upgrades
Q: When will our equipment be upgraded?
We'll be upgrading Rise Broadband's infrastructure over the next several months. We'll contact customers directly to schedule any necessary equipment upgrades.
Q: Will this affect customers outside of Kansas?
No, this acquisition only affects Rise’s Kansas customer base.
Q: Is my price for service going to change?
Not at this time. With more to do online than ever before, we want to ensure you have the speed to keep up. Soon, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy up to 150 Mbps download speeds and improved reliability. Plus, we'll be upgrading our equipment both on our towers and at your home. As we roll out these infrastructure improvements, we’ll reach out to discuss our service options with you.
Q: How do I pay my bill?
Starting Nov 1, you can make payments online via the IdeaTek E-Care customer portal, mail checks to the IdeaTek LockBox at P.O. Box 2875, Wichita, KS 67201, or call 620-543-5555 for a local representative to help make a one-time payment and enroll you in autopay.
Q: When will I get my first IdeaTek bill?
IdeaTek bills at the start of each service period, with Net 20 payment terms. This is a change from Rise Broadband’s process, which billed 15 days in advance from the start of the service period.
Please note:
- The first bill from IdeaTek may only include the balance carried forward from Rise and, if so, it will be your second bill that will reflect the charges for the new IdeaTek service period date range.
- Please remit all payments after Nov 1 to IdeaTek.
Q: Are there any other fees?
We have a $3 manual fee if you do not set up auto payment. Sign up through our E-Care portal.
